At the same time as my mutilation investigations, on a parallel track with people in the human abduction syndrome, New York City artist Budd Hopkins published a 1981 book entitled Missing Time: A Documented Study of UFO Abductions. In that original hardcover between pages 162 and 163, there were four pages of photographs and illustrations that included mysterious body scars, an instrument box illustrated by an abductee from a missing time experience; and several illustrations by people of the non-humans encountered during abductions. Most are described as small, grey-skinned with varying types of dark eyes, larger than human eyes.
Six years later in 1987, Budd would write his second book: Intruders: The Incredible Visitations At Copley Woods that featured a female abductee called “Kathy Davis” to protect her and her family's request for anonymity. The book grew out of Budd's 2.5 year investigation of Kathy Davis after she was provoked enough by seeing the photos and illustrations in Missing Time to follow up with her own experiences. The letter began about strange backyard lights and a dead area on the lawn where nothing would grow and wild animals wouldn't go near it. She also included her sister Laura's sighting of a UFO and the vivid dreams she and her mother had along with the same type of unexplained scars on both their right legs.
Eventually Kathy would tell Budd about the time when she was 17 years old in February 1976 (born February 17, 1959), and going to get married, but was shocked when she later found out she was pregnant and wasn't certain how it happened. The whole family was told, the summer wedding was to be moved back and everyone was happy about the prenancy, even if Kathy was so young.
Then something weird and unexplained happened and Kathy's medically-confirmed pregnancy disappeared — a phenomenon that Budd Hopkins and other investigators would come to learn was part of the UFO abduction syndrome linked to another big subject that no one wanted to deal with: the creation of E. T. and human hybrids by an alien intelligence for unknown reasons. Budd Hopkins came to write about “Kathy Davis” later on in her real name and said, “Debbie Jordan was the first woman to fully reveal this most intimate aspect of her ordeal. Her uncommon courage has made it easier for hundreds of men and women since then to unburden themselves, thereby immeasurably aiding UFO research and facilitating the work of therapists and investigators.” [ Pages viii-ix, Abducted! "Kathie Davis" has evolved to Debbie Jordan Kauble, happily married and now speaking publicly again because she strongly feels we are on the brink of finally officially learning we are not alone in this universe and that alien presences have interacted with her family, many other families and Earth life for a long time. Recently Debbie and I talked about her vanishing pregnancy and the implication of many vanishing pregnancies in the 1970s to 1980s, beginning with the night in March 1976 when she was babysitting her sister's kids.
