On the Eve just before Shabbat women light the candles every Friday evening around the world. Most people really do not know why but it is a tradition and according to sources in Rabbinic Judaism it has a lot to do with Eve she took away the light from the world and women are suppose to carry out this ritual as a form of atonement. But is this really necessary and is it true that Eve is the guilty of this alleged crime?
